This rare stone comes exclusively from the Dominican Republic, its only known worldwide discovery site. Larimar is found exclusively in the Dominican Republic – in the mountains of the Barahona province.

Larimar

In healing stone therapy, Larimar is also known as the Atlantis Stone. Its only occurrence in its blue colors to this day is the Dominican Republic.
According to legend, Larimar is said to be connected to the lost paradise. It is said that Larimar is the only remaining testament to the legendary island of Atlantis.
Larimar symbolizes boundlessness. Its colors are those of the endless sky and the vast sea. It has been worn since early history as a protective stone against evil spirits, natural disasters, and illnesses. Many things are attributed to this stone, among other things, Larimar is said to open new paths in thought and action and serve self-realization.
Due to its high calcium content, it is also said to have a strengthening effect on bones and growth. Larimar is a very popular and attractive gemstone, which is used for necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants, and bracelets. It is very valuable, as it has become almost exploited and therefore very rare.
