Larimar

In healing stone lore, Larimar is also known as the Atlantis Stone. Its only known blue deposit to this day is in the Dominican Republic.
According to legend, Larimar is said to be connected to the sunken paradise. It is believed that Larimar is the only remaining evidence of the fabled island of Atlantis.
Larimar symbolizes boundlessness. Its colors are those of the endless sky and the vast sea. It has been worn since ancient times as a protective stone against evil spirits, natural disasters, and illnesses. Many properties are attributed to this stone; among other things, Larimar is said to open up new ways of thinking and acting and to promote self-realization.
Due to its high calcium content, it is also believed to have a strengthening effect on bones and growth. Larimar is a very popular and attractive gemstone, used for necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants, and bangles. It is very valuable because it has now been almost depleted and has thus become very rare.

The chemical formula of Larimar: Ca2Na [OH/Si3O8] + Fe, Mn
