In healing stone therapy, Larimar is also known as the Atlantis Stone. Its only known blue occurrence to this day is the Dominican Republic.
According to legend, Larimar is said to be connected to the sunken paradise. Accordingly, Larimar is believed to be the only remaining evidence of the legendary island of Atlantis.
Larimar symbolizes boundlessness. Its colors are those of the endless sky and the vast sea. It has been worn since ancient history as a protective stone against evil spirits, natural disasters, and illnesses. Many things are attributed to this stone, among other things, Larimar is said to open new paths in thinking and acting and to serve self-realization.
Due to its high calcium content, it is also said to have a strengthening effect on bones and growth. Larimar is a very popular and attractive gemstone, used for necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants, and bracelets. It is very valuable because it has become almost exploited and therefore very rare.
