In healing stone lore, Larimar is also known as the Atlantis stone. Its only occurrence in its blue colors to this day is the Dominican Republic.
According to legend, Larimar is said to be connected to the lost paradise. It is said that Larimar is the only remaining evidence of the fabled island of Atlantis.
Larimar symbolizes boundlessness. Its colors are those of the endless sky and the vast sea. Since ancient history, it has been worn as a protective stone against evil spirits, natural disasters, and illnesses. Many things are attributed to this stone, among other things, Larimar is said to open new ways of thinking and acting and serve self-realization.
Due to its high calcium content, it is also said to have a strengthening effect on bones and growth. Larimar is a very popular and attractive jewelry stone, which is used for necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants, and bracelets. It is very valuable because it has now been almost exploited and has thus become very rare.
