In healing crystal lore, Larimar is also known as the Atlantis Stone. Its only occurrence in its blue color to this day is the Dominican Republic.
Legend has it that Larimar is connected to the lost paradise. According to this, Larimar is said to be the only remaining evidence of the legendary island of Atlantis.
Larimar symbolizes boundlessness. Its colors are those of the endless sky and the vast sea. It has been worn since early history as a protective stone against evil spirits, natural disasters, and illnesses. Many properties are attributed to this stone, among others, Larimar is said to open new paths in thinking and acting and serve self-realization.
Due to its high calcium content, it is also said to have a strengthening effect on bones and growth. Larimar is a very popular and attractive gemstone, which is used for necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants, and bracelets. It is very valuable, as it has now been almost depleted and is therefore very rare.
