Larimar

In healing stone lore, Larimar is also known as the Atlantis Stone. Its only occurrence in its blue colors to this day is the Dominican Republic.
Legend has it that Larimar is connected to the lost paradise. According to this, Larimar is said to be the only remaining evidence of the legendary island of Atlantis.
Larimar stands as a symbol of boundlessness. Its colors are those of the endless sky and the vast sea. Since ancient times, it has been worn as a protective stone against evil spirits, natural disasters, and illnesses. Many things are attributed to this stone; among other things, Larimar is said to open up new ways of thinking and acting and serve self-realization.
Due to its high calcium content, it is also said to have a strengthening effect on bones and growth. Larimar is a very popular and attractive jewelry stone, which is used for necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants, and bangles. It is very valuable because it has now been almost depleted and has thus become very rare.
