Chrysoprase

This gemstone is a nickel-bearing chalcedony. Chrysoprase has been known for millennia as a jewelry stone and decorative stone. Its name comes from Greek and means "gold - leek." It is also said that chrysoprase was already the feel-good stone / harmony stone of Cleopatra in ancient Egypt, and at the same time, chrysoprase was worn there as a protective stone against the plague. Chrysoprase was also Frederick the Great's favorite stone. People also saw in it a symbol of love, truth, and justice. In ancient Greece, chrysoprase was revered as the stone of the family; it was believed to preserve love and family cohesion.
In crystal healing, chrysoprase is used as a gemstone for trust and security, as well as for emotional burdens. Chrysoprase is used for detoxification, and it is also said to have positive influences on skin diseases and fungal infections.
