Chrysoprase

This gemstone is a nickel-bearing chalcedony. Chrysoprase has been known as a jewelry stone and decorative stone for thousands of years. Its name comes from Greek and means "gold - leek". It is also said that chrysoprase was already the feel-good stone / harmony stone of Cleopatra in ancient Egypt and at the same time, chrysoprase was worn there as a protective stone against the plague. Chrysoprase was also the favorite stone of Frederick the Great. People also saw in it a symbol of love, truth, and justice. In ancient Greece, chrysoprase was revered as the stone of the family; it was supposed to preserve love and family cohesion.
In healing crystal therapy, chrysoprase is used as a gemstone for trust and security as well as for emotional stress. Chrysoprase is used for detoxification and is also said to have positive effects on skin diseases and fungal infections.
