This gemstone is a nickel-bearing chalcedony. Chrysoprase has been known as a jewelry stone and decorative stone for thousands of years. Its name comes from Greek and means "gold - leek". It is also said that chrysoprase was already the feel-good stone / harmony stone of Cleopatra in ancient Egypt and at the same time, chrysoprase was worn there as a protective stone against the plague.
