Chrysoprase

This gemstone is a nickel-containing chalcedony. Chrysoprase has been known for millennia as a gemstone and decorative stone. Its name comes from Greek and means "gold-leek". It is also said that chrysoprase was already the well-being stone / harmony stone of Cleopatra in ancient Egypt and at the same time, chrysoprase was worn there as a protective stone against the plague. Chrysoprase was also Frederick the Great's favorite stone. People also saw in it a symbol of love, truth, and justice. In ancient Greece, chrysoprase was revered as a stone of the family; it was meant to preserve love and family cohesion.
In lithotherapy, chrysoprase is used as a gemstone for trust and security as well as emotional burdens. Chrysoprase is used for detoxification, and it is also said to have positive effects on skin diseases and fungal infections.
