Chrysoprase

This gemstone is a nickel-bearing chalcedony. Chrysoprase has been known for millennia as a jewelry stone and decorative stone. Its name comes from Greek and means "gold - leek". It is also said that chrysoprase was already Cleopatra's feel-good stone / harmony stone in ancient Egypt and was also worn there as a protective stone against the plague. Chrysoprase was also Frederick the Great's favorite stone. People also saw in it a symbol of love, truth, and justice.
