Chrysoprase

This gemstone is a nickel-containing chalcedony. Chrysoprase has been known as a gemstone and decorative stone for millennia. Its name comes from Greek and means "gold - leek". Chrysoprase is also said to have been Cleopatra's feel-good stone / harmony stone in ancient Egypt, and it was also worn there as a protective stone against the plague. Chrysoprase was also Frederick the Great's favorite stone. People also saw it as a symbol of love, truth, and justice. In ancient Greece, chrysoprase was revered as a family stone; it was believed to preserve love and family cohesion.
In lithotherapy, chrysoprase is used as a gemstone for trust and security, as well as for emotional stress. Chrysoprase is used for detoxification, and it is also said to have positive influences on skin diseases and fungal infections.
